my dad has K4 UFC, K5 UFC AND K6 UFC

meant to be like SUFC (scunthorpe united football club (saddo)) but only the K5 UFC one does.

but looks cool on the drive :P

i just looked for K111 YOU but its not available.

i may buy a KTP plate in the next day or two but none really catch my eye, i used to have K5 KTP a few years ago but couldnt transfer it back off my car due to it being off the road for so long and was never going to be road legal again so i lost the plate :(

I got my wife KMW plate for her car and I have been thinking of G9 KMW so it could look like

69 KMW to wind her up!!

Despite not liking private plates, have just sold 2 and bought 1, so now I have 3 again.......

2 on cars, and one on a bit of paper.

I'll never have any money.

I can't see the point in paying for a reg. no. that relates to the car ie. VRSXXX or FABXXX or BMW XXX as you will only keep the car for 1 to 6 years then it will become irrelevant if you change to a different model/marque. Best to by your name/initials which will last for life and can be transferred to any car. Like to keeep them legal as i don't want any fines or loose the plate if your caught 2 times. The wife has one and it is her dress size and her initials, hope she doesn't put on weight or that will be irrelevent as well.

I like private plates, i got my Son's name on mine, i'll give it to him when he's older

R4YN F (My son's name is Ryan F)

Its spaced that way on the plate and its past its MOT and i've never ben stopped by the Police for it. I think the plates with the different fonts that you cant read p1ss them off more.

And the tiny wee plate i have on my bike!!

Yeah, see yours most days parked outside your work:thumbup:

I'll be popping in soon to see if you can do me some stickers for the screen on my bike:)

Ian:)

I looked for a Matt plate for ages and concluded it was too costly...I ended up with M666 MNE, M for Matt, 666 as it was my father collar number in the police and MNE are my initials, also my dad has N666 so it looks cool on the drive.....Good luck in your search, i got my plates printed with a Crabon look from halfords, looks quite smart :)

I bought my vRS with R5 MBB, I would prefer to have the proper 54 plate reg on as it means nothing to me but its a bit of a hassle and would cost me money to do hold it on a bit of paper as the DVLA were'nt interested in buying it from me.

Probably £1000 or so for a plate, but you need to spend another £1000 or so on English lessons at night school (skool) :)

Goy my plate because it was short and neat.

W3 VRS.

Four hundred if i remember correctly.

i just looked for K111 YOU but its not available.

i may buy a KTP plate in the next day or two

the DVLA has 01-09 and 51-58 of KP ## KTP available, most at £245

i prefer the prefix plates so i can shorten it down a little so preferring to go with something like R8 KTP or the the like. my girlfriend has R8 on her car so i'll have to go with something different. seen F1 KTP but its £1275! i dont really fancy spending any more than the cheaper plates tho.

I was looking at plates months ago and found

D25 VRS

My name is Darren and i was born on the 25th

I think it was about £250

Instead of buying it their and then i thought about it for a few hours then decided to buy it

Yup it was gone when i went back to buy it:confused:

Private plates are crap:D

But it makes your car look older than it really is - not that I suppose that really matters... :)

My father-in-law thought my TT was a 1995 car due to the M reg and said it must of had a respray as it didn't look that old:rofl:

I have had *666 VRS for a few years now and always get flashed by lorry drivers for some reason :)

There are far too many misrepresented private plates around. People tend to get a bit snotty when their car fails the MOT on incorrect spacing etc. They can also cause you to having to provide the VIN when obtaining parts as some manufacturers do not have a DVLA look up facility on their parts software - if the car has had a number change.

When selling these plates the DVLA should send out all the rules pertaining to the use of them, with a counterfoil to be signed and returned. The number should be confiscated if the same car gets caught more than twice with a mis represented plate.

The Americans have a better term for them, they call them 'Vanity Plates'.

I like clever number plates which spell something out rather than initials.

I can't stand plates which have been manipulated with spacing or black screws - may as well drive around without a plate, or with a plate which clearly (and illegally) spells out what you want it to.

Whatever, a decent plate will always attract the wrong attention and some jealous chav will key your car rather than the one next to it

400quid and i got my private plate W15 LFY gonna keep that one for a lifetime!

im all for private plates! if you have the dosh lying around and want to buy one go for it! although do it properly and no stupid fonts, spacing or annoying black screws!!

i like private plates, ive got VR54 LAP on my fabia vrs and love it was only £300 (btw my initials are LAP)

The DVLA already do as you suggested except the signing the counterfoil bit and you can loose the plate if caught twice misrepresenting the Reg. no.

I like personalised plates as long as the are not incorrectly spaced, or attached with black screws. Some registrations spell names etc and some don't!! I have P12 RJF- "P" is my surname 12 represents my birthday 1st February and RJF are my 1st and middle names... I like it and if it is your thing, go for it, if not then don't.........

Bloody hell

Thats a bit convoluted

But as you say

If you like it go for it,if you dont like it dont bother:thumbup:
