Broken rear window regulator

Featured Replies

hi

I have a problem with my rear window regulator on my 2000 octavia. It seems the window regulator has broken away from the window its self. I've removed the regulator and the black plastic clip looks like it has snapped? its in two halves and a small white U shaped clip was sitting in the bottom of the door.

firstly can this be repaired? can you buy a repair kit of some sort?

or is it a new regulator job?:thumbdwn:

New regulator, pretty common.

been looking at it, is the black clip bit meant to be in in two havles? because i can't see any sign that it has snapped? no break marks etc

yeah its broken :-(

take it you can't just buy new clips?

Its about £60 for the parts. I've had 3 go, a local grarage changes them for about £100.

sorted this today, found the cheapest place was the main dealer, 48 quid, took me about half hour to fit .
