Featured Replies

Hi Guys

What fmic's are people using to upgrade there Vrs SMIC's as i'm looking for one to fit my Polo GT

Cheers Grant

Forge FMIC is a straight fit :)

And nicely priced.

Theres a Pro alloy one from the derv doctor but is much dearer.

Some also run Seatsport ones but im unsure of where to get them

seat maybe?

Mine is a seat one and it's alot bigger than the forge one......dont know if you need any bigger than the forge or not though

seat maybe?

Knew that bit, but they seem to be off mkIV Ibiza's so im unsure of where the Piping comes from if its a self fabricate job.

The Forge or Pro-Alloy is what your after, both easily capable of running silly power, 250bhp etc

yeah mk4 1.8 20v

from what i know they can run hybrid power, 210 - 240 bhp ;)

What im unsure about is whether the piping is a custom fabrication job and then theres the problem of where to stick the MAF sensor.

If no-one can come up with some info i suggest you go for a straight fit kit such as forge for around 650quid

Here is a pic of the Seat Sport FMIC fitted to my Ibiza TDi which was running a upgrade turbo (200+bhp)

I can't remember how much I paid for the FMIC (I got a good deal and sure it was less than £300)

I then had all the some of the pipes remade (Had the Forge FMIC on before)

The maf sensor was fitted on the top pipe.

This is the pipe where the sensor is ;)

Looks pretty good does that /\

Im after easy fit / bolt on lol

Cool. So does that just bolt on?

beside the pipes that is, i can get pipes custom made at Merlin Motorsports.

Maf sensor from Awsome? i know they do one.

Dave

From what I can remember it's a straight fit ;)

The Forge unit was in there before anyway and I just replaced it with the Seat FMIC

The sensor was just moved to the upper pipe!

Hrm, we don't sell pro-alloy!!

We normally use forge ones on fabia's
