adaptive spark timing capacity.

Featured Replies

does all modern day cars have adaptive spark timing capacity? to get more to the point does my 2.0 fsi have it?

All cars with a knock sensor should do.

All ECU controlled petrol fuel injected engines need a knock sensor.

Yup, it has one. Want to test? Put some 95 octane in (if the engine is built for 98) and floor it at low revs (don't make a habit of this, it's bad for the engine). You should hear it knock for the first couple of moments then the knock should stop as the math in the ECU does it's job.
