i only want the bit that covers the bonnet and i said some people like them and some dont lol

oh my god am i weird lol......

na just different.....

when i used to do car shows a while back a mate used to use some thickish plastic (a bit like clingfilm) he used to just peel it off at shows (this was a concours winning rs500) and then he used to put it back on goin home , i will ask him what it was if you want! :)

A respray of the whole bonnet can be had for £70.

It's needed maybe once in 10 years.

How much does a bad looking bra cost?

Greg.

its not just to protect the paint work as i like the look of them especially on a yellow car and its good to stand out of the crowd. this is a pic of one on my old golf gti

whhhyyy???? :confused::confused:

look sooo bad imho.. cars get stonechips if you use them, live with it lol..

each to their own though :)

Have to admit - looks good on that VW. Only thing is that it can chafe the paintwork and so you need to clean the car really well before fitting, make sure the bra is spotless and tighten it up all the time (I had one on a car some 15 years ago). ended up taking it off tbh....

My 2p worth

Waste of time and look awful IMO :)

They look so ugly and probally trap a load of moisture underneath.

finally someone who thinks like me lol, they do the job they are meant for and nothing puts me off a car more than when looking to buy one than big fat ugly stone chips all over the front. they fit tight to the car so no moisture or grime can get under them the only thing you have to do is take them off regulary and clean underneath well.

its always good to hear other peoples feelings even if they are not the same as yours this is what makes the world go round

Not only ugly, and trouble in themselves; IME they don't protect the really vulnerable area on an Octy anyway ( leading edge of rear arch ).

I'm in the same position as you. I ordered one from Autobra a few weeks back but am still waiting. I've spoken to them and they were out of stock, they said they should have more this week and they should be out shortly :)

well ive finally recieved mine today after been on order for 5 weeks. It was a bit of a let down really mainly because of the quality of the product.I ordered one a few years back for a mk3 golf from america and it was a lot better but i couldnt remember where i got it from shame really.

Ill try it on the car later and post a few pics

Ive just been out for the last hour trying to fit this car bra and it was a total waste of time. It has to many clips which are made of sharpe metal which can and could catch on painted surfaces and are not long enough to fit in any holes on the bonnet, then there were two straps with plastic on which dangle over the engine which could be dangerious when the engine gets hot.

the only positive thing is that it looked well good on it in my opinion, but its not worth all the hassle.

just found the american website i got my old mk3 one from but they dont do skoda's.....doh
