The thing with downloading fillums is the majority of people in the UK have limited bandwidth which makes this an extremely lengthy process.

I get 4.7gb dvd images in less time than it takes to watch them :D

Metoo ;)

I suspect HD fillums would take longer than a Doovd though. And I bet I could open the envelope from Amazon and put the Bluray fillum in the PS3 quicker than it takes to DL a fillum. And you two are probably not in The majority.:P

Also quite a few ISPs have quite restrictive download limits, which would stop people downloading DVD quality titles let alone HD ones. :(:thumbdwn:

Only cheap ISP's have such daft limits, you get what you pay for!

I'm paying £30 a month and have a 75Gb a month limit, the only saving grace is that they give us an unmetered time slot (midnight to 8am) so the large downloads have to be scheduled for this window. :thumbdwn: I wouldn't exactly say my connection was cheap. :(

Unlike the rest of the UK Hull doesn't have any choice as there is only one broadband provider, so long as you don't count mobile broadband.

I'll probably get a PS3 at some point, but I wish they were backwards compatible with the PS2 as I still use this a lot and would rather just have one machine rather than the clutter of more!

Yeah that is a bit of a drawnback. :(

Tempted to buy one of those VGA boxes and plug my PS2 in to one of my monitors in the den for any occasional gaming... :)

If all you want to do is play blueray films...

£89.99 from Maplin, Blueray, HD DVD player and DVD +-RW. It replaces your existing DVD R/W in your PC.

Music, video and blueray/ HD DVD playback all from one machine, and you can play games and browse the net..who needs PS3 :P
