Lots of mileage?

Featured Replies

Seen a 56 plate octavia sport 2.0 tdi with 29k on the clock... is that alot for a car of that age? just seems pretty cheap for 9k ish

or is that alot to ask for the car?

average miles are around 12k a year, but in this day and age, 40k for two years is pretty reasonable, just make sure its been serviced.

Seems like a reasonable price to me.

The Sport is basically the ambiente with a body kit but never sold all that well.

29k isn't a huge mileage , but the turbos seem to have reliability issues. My 06 is on 54k and has just blown up

really. hmmm warrenty would cover that surely, just make sure i cover the next 20k withing the year?!? :P

thought the 2.0 pd isnt very ecanomical either is it?

i like the look of the sport.

Depends how you drive it on the economy front.

29K over 2 years ish isn't bad and as long as its been looked after you should have nothing to worry about

It's under warranty , but still worrying.

I get over 50mpg from mine which is good but the 1.9 could get 60

driving the 100tdi fabia home today averaging about 90ish the trip was showing 48mpg, and that was with 123k on the clock!

my old 2.0 petrol would do it about 28mpg! and need a bit more than a tank. where as the tdi still has half a tank, doing the same speeds!

baffled me!

i looked after my old car well enough:) so servicing will be up to date. I've never drivin the new octy before.

the old octy felt more car like than the fabia wich you seem to *sit on* i think thats the way to describe it.

My 2.0TDI is just coming up towards 3 years old (55 reg) and 55K miles, still original and just completed a 2500 roadtrip around europe without trouble.

Doesn't seem too bad; 29,000 miles in 18 months - car will only just be run in. The 'Sport' spec is quite discreet but purposeful and you get very attractive 'Pegasus' alloys.

If you're interested I'd go and have a look at it.

I'll have to i think. but also need to think about me finances! i did this before and ended up cursing myself about having a car i couldnt afford  but i managed to work hard enough to keep it.

yeah the sport spec is nice.. i dont think it will make too much of an effect on insurance as my old 2.0 was group 8 and the new one is 10... hmm wats the tax like by the way?

Tax is £120, mine is 3 years old btw.. and has just under 32000 on the clock.
