Finally Fitted Whiteline ARB

Featured Replies

Is there a piece that use's the same bolts that hold the shocks on?? To fit can you safely undo these with compressors etc....

Yes and yes - I watched them fit mine and realised I could have done it myself!

took me 25 mins solo to do mine.

takes longer to lift the car with one jack as it does to fit the bar.

ive just ordered myself a whiteline rear ARB, are they good as i have a doubt in my mind that maybe i shoulda put the extra an dwaited for the neuspeed? :orb_sad: have i made a good choice or cut a corner ? it seemed a great choice after the earlier posts?

I reacon you wont be dissapointed mate.

the bar hangs down a bit same as either the eiback or neuspeed one. one of them (neuspeed i think) is non adjustable and bends round the suspention parts so doesnt need to hang down.

ace bit of kit for the mula mate....

Ouch that's low to the ground. Are the Eibach ones as low?

The eibach fits alongside the trailing arm, i.e. it does not hang down at all. See the What ARB thread, I have posted a picture of mine for ref.

For the money mate it's the best, you won't be dissapionted the whiteline is a good bar as good as any of the others, plus it's adjustable only downside is it sits quiet low but you'll soon forget about that. :)

Until you go over a speed bump:eek:

The eibach is only an extra £30 or so....

Ive been over loads of speedbumps and havent caught it yet.

You would have to be doing some serious off-roading to catch a whiteline bar...

It won't make much difference. The drop links are connected to the bottom of the shock whci hmeans they are on the unsprung bit, meaning they will not get any lower, it will always move with the wheel. I have the same bar fitted to my Roomster and it's not caught on anything in 20k. The eibach bar does look like a better job though.

NB: "Matt thanks for letting me drive your Fabia VRS road rocket, one cool car.

No problem Pete, it's only standard

Now you've finally fitted your ARB maybe I could take yours for a spin. Purely for research purposes obviously ;):D

Mine's been on a year and have'nt caught it once.

Where can you buy just the rear eibach bar? I can only find the eibach arb kit but I don't want the front bar

I am sure Sarah at Awesome can help you spend money, as they sell them.

Also have a look at the Neuspeed one.

Yes I can help

Most places only sell the kits or the fronts

But what Eibach do is order them in , they will not split a kit for just the rear

I will give them a call for you now

Sarah

Sarah,

As Lex Dysia has requested above, if that's correct can you please PM me too, so that I can take one off your hands

Hi

I have checked , No it does not :( you would have to get the kit after that

They are not cheap either , as the kit will have to be purchased for the pair......(front and rear)

The kits then are £60 ish + VAT

Sorry :( that information was not given to me when I called last time

I'm with direct line and hoping to fit a RARB soon. How did you describe the modification to Direct Line when you phoned for the new quote (normally they seem pretty anal about this stuff)?

Hi Iep,

I am also with Direct Line, when I rang to tell them I spoke to a lady, After I described it and where it would be fitted. I then described it as :- "Improving vehicle stability when cornering and significantly reducing vehicle body roll when manuvering at speed, thereby improving overall vehicle safety", or something like that.

She then went away to ask a techi' after admitting she didnt drive and didnt understand what I meant by "body roll" :rotz:. She then returned and said "thats fine no increase to your policy". It is now listed against my vehicle details.

Cheers
