Depends on how fussy you are.

Whiteline is cheap and does the job but i can see why people go for the Neuspeed on as there is less chance of it flexing due to it using different brackets.

Got a Whiteline on mine and works like a charm

whiteline it is, there is a big cost difference, and alot of people on here seem very much beyond amused with it :orb_cool:

youd recomend the whiteline then

ive actually just ordered one , do you think it was the rite choice or should held for the neuspeed :orb_rolli doh

I have a neuspeed 28mm one

I think a few people have had problems with the brackets on the whiteline, so it's up to you if you want to pay the extra.

:orb_sad: oh no

What is wrong with the Eibach bar?

It is far neater in design that either the Whiteline or Neuspeed. Works $odding well too!

oh no another option, have i just messed up and wasteed my wages :orb_sad_2

Eibach on the red one, transformed the car big time...Black one has 28mm Neuspeed, tight as.

Phil

The eibach bar does not hang down low, it is a very smartly designed bar which runs along side the trailing arm.....

I will try and find a picture for you!

Steve

Here you go, here is an old picture, but you will get the idea!!

The sides are far neater in design bolting directly to the shock absorber, rather than another piece of metal which is in turn bolted to the shock..........

:orb_sad:, f'## i havent got the money to waste these days and i get the feeling ive fudged it :orb_sad:

Just cancel the order!

Another choice for you is the Autotech 28mm adjustable rear ARB. I've one fitted on mine. Its better than the whiteline I had fitted previously.

is the whiteline really not very good then, i will have to try save the extra if can cancel? are the other adjustable?

Just cancel the order!

I'd tell them politely to stick it somewhere......

I agree with Steve, the Eibach in my opinion is the nuts:thumbup: Fits nice, and as said does not sit as low as the others

Neuspeed is, Eibach has one setting....bl00dy stiff, which is very, very good:D:D

Mine was £145ish from Jabba a couple of years ago.

how much was the eibach? and who did you get it from?

£145ish from Jabba, this was a couple of years ago though, the price may well have gone up.

Give Nick a call, he'll be happy to sort you out with one.

  • Author

is that nick at jabba, is it easy to fit the same, and come with the how to , i will have to try cancel the whiteline tho, if i can :orb_sad: or it sounds ive just wasted best part of my weeks wages , :orb_upset it sounded good on the other thread i peeked at

Yeah Nick @ Jabba.

Everyone has different opinions about them, you only really have 3-4 to choose from though; Eibach, Whiteline, Neuspeed and Autotech

I personally would go for the sleek designed Eibach, as it works superbly and looks very 'standardish'.

I always understood the Whiteline bar to be a bit cheap and nasty, I will stand corrected I'm sure on that last comment, no offence intended though people:)

it just i dont want to waste money i cant really afored to chuck away, balance do deal with eibach so ive just emailed to see what they can do, im sure he wouldnt have posted it yet so fingers crossed, i just dont want to regret what i spend as i can treally do anything about it :orb_sad:

if i can then you reken the eibach is awesome and would def be doing just as much as the neuspeed or whiteline ? i dont even know what the adjustments are lol so i was just following suit from a dif thread,

The Eibach bar is superb; I wouldn't change it for anything.

Having driven a car with a similar chassis set up as mine but using the 28mm Neuspeed I actually preferred the Eibach, albeit it is a smaller diameter bar at 25mm it worked much more effectively!

lol if i can change my order, i shall try for eibach, i think it was jim at awesome gti that told me the 25m neuspeed was better for the hatch and 28mm for the estate vrs

is the whats the adjustment i dont get with the eibach? it seems like the number 3 on the whiteline was best? or sumin lol im just taking the word of the ihi driver :orb_not_w

id love 1 of them too but i can keep dreaming i think

You don't get any adjustment with the Eibach bar, nice and simple; you slap it on and drive!!!

The whiteline bar will (IMO) lose some of its rigidity through the poly bushes it has on the mountings, the ideal set up would be where it is bolted directly to the suspension arm like on the Eibach, that way you won’t get any flex anywhere.

I think people can get too carried away with all of this adjustment lark, once you are used to it-it is fine! Who is really going to pi$$ around altering their setting every couple of months or so?

Lift off over-steer can be a problem though if you are not used to it as it will provoke the rear end to step out, especially in the wet.... this is common though with any of the beefed up rear ARB's....it proves they are working effectively!!!

very true, i climbed under my car once to lower it lol so is the eibach like the number 3 or 4 of the whiteline is it lol solid, i dont get too carried away in corners these days as i purchased 20s and ruined my handling somewhat lol but hey , least i slowed down abit ......:orb_no_no

ive peeked on the balance motorsport and awesome site and they dont list eibach for the vrs? huh ? or do they just need asking, my plan is if they do it they can just send that instead? fingers crossed
