Lummox's Passat, a.k.a the Battle bus.

Featured Replies

Only just realised I hadn't done a thread on my runabout. Bought from a workmate as a cheapie daily to tank around in whilst the Golf is being built (still). Ideal for the daily chug to work (not far, just not fast either), fill it up once a month which is just perfect. Powered by a phenominal turbo charged diesel engine unleashing a massive 75bhp. A few pics, lowered it on coil overs, added 20mm rear spacers, bit of de badging and de wipering to clean the rear up. Now refurbing some different wheels for it just for a change, might wind it down a touch when they are on. its not a fab looking car but by christ it lugs a lot of stuff around.

Best bath it ever had :)

Not a bad heap I must say Ross.

Looking forward to seeing the new wheels on it, not keen on the current ones ;)

I've stood next to this and I have to say it does look remarkably 'hard' with the black wheels and dropped suspension. It's a nice combination of "I don't give a four-x so let me in" and understated cool.

Tyres on Monday, 10mm spacers up front, new top mounts and bearings, drop it a little further and remove the mud flaps. Also may tackle the rust blemishes.

looking good !
