Alloy Lacquer Question

Featured Replies

I have been rpairing an alloy off of my VRS. I painted using the Wurth's silver lacquer.

It didn't seem to be quite the right colour but I continued on and lacquered it with the Wurth's High Gloss lacquer. However I can't seem to build up a good shine after 4 or 5 coats of lacquer. Also the colour doesn't match even after the lacquer.

Should I continue lacquering to build it up?

Any tips?

Thanks

not sure about the colour match but if you use a cutting compound after you've finish spraying them to smooth them off and then polish them up they should give a good shine.

Something such as T-Cut? Or is that too harsh?

t-cut is fairly tame to be honest, something like G10 would probably be better but be sure to give them a good polishing afterwards to bring them up.

Any recommendations for a polish?

i always liked Autoglym Ultra Deep Shine so would recommend that as being good enough to do the wheels.
