I read the manual from cover to cover but never found this (probably because I'm in the driver seat and couldn't see it).

There's a "selectable"?? opening for aircon in the glovebox! Little things eh.....

I have the jumbo box so knew about that one.

yeah found this last year, it was part of the reason i couldnt get the car cool as it was pushing most of the air con cold air through into the glove compartment, so now its turned off as nothing in there to keep cool.

is this on all octy II's or just the fancy ones like i dont have ?

But be careful when rotating it, I'm told that they are petty fragile and break rather easily (on someone else's 2 week old vRS :( )

Yes, it's on the right hand side of the glove box, you turn it to close the aperture and stop the cold air coming through.

Careful, that blows hot in the winter and melts your chocolate. Happened to me before.

Obviously its regulated by the temp of the air con but beware of leaving paper/documents in there.

When i collected my vRS (ex-demo) the car manual was ever so slightly damp. Caused by the vent been open and cold air going in there.
