Looking into my crystal ball, I can see......more information is needed

What make are the bulbs? What type are they? Do they not work at all on either side?

LED's get too hot from the headlight bulb, this will shorten their life dramatically.

Why do you want LED's anyway? if its to get a crisp clear white sidelight then Philips blue vision bulbs are the best IMO (although they are blue, they don't give off a blue light)

if however you want coloured sidelights then you are probably beyond help ;)

Not enough white

Have you checked the plority of the bulb?

He means polarity:thumbup:

If they don't work first time, Turn the bulb 180 degrees and re insert if they still don't work get the Philips ones:D

My mate had some kicking about and they are the white led lights. Dont believe in those datf red blue etc leds that people fit. I have some philips blue vision on order but thought if the LEDs worked fine. I would cancel the order and save a bit of cash.

They dont work either side or in the interior centre light bulb on my car. Yet they work on my mates, granted its not a fabia. But they work in his and not in mine? Very strange:confused:

Thanks Mike Not sure how you spelt it!

You can guess spelling was not a strong subject for me.

Is it the phillips ones you're running Mike ?

Davy and i are running the same LED's

my LED's lasted 3weeks then they started strobbing and eventually just melted. :D

the metal contacts on them sometimes have to be fiddled with to get them working as they are fairly fragile and bend out of place easily.

It's Ultra's I think are they not mike?

Aye, but i dont know what type. :D

I ran LED sidelights for about 6 months in my Scooby. After 3 months I noticed the first of the six units in each failing until one side went out completely. I narrowed it down to the Scoob alternator pumping out 14.3V which was too much for the 12V rated LED's. Heat is also a known issue. I also ran LED indicators which were a big success. On the 03-06 Scoobs it is popular to remove the orange wedge from the headlight and fit silvered bulbs. The original Silvertec items were unsafe, being almost un-noticeable in daylight, and damn near invisible if sunny. I fitted LED's in about half a dozen Scoobs for mates, but they did need a resistor bridged across the wires as LED's use a fraction of the electricity and the flasher relay went into hyperflash as if a bulb had blown. They looked pretty cool though with the instant illumination like you see on new BM's and Aston's etc.
