Honda civic at the bottom of the Which survey?

Featured Replies

Just wondered if anyone else had heard anything.....on the radio this afternon they said that the honda civic was at the bottom of the which reliability survey .....they also said other Hondas had the top seven places ....just wondered where all the other cars came

Yeah - This was the main debate on the Type R forum..

I didn't hear it myself but would like to know which model they tested and what other cars got higher?

Anyone know?

Well new type r seems a bit rubbish from the feedback I hear from 2 guys I know.

First guy (had the postman pat one before chopping it in for the new shape) = 1x snapped sub frame  £4K to rectify!!!! Plus plenty of other niggly faults.

Second guy= Car has been in and out of the dealers so many time since last Sept it's unreal.

Is someone else going to buy the report in the shops or pay for the online one? :o

Japanese cars top Which? reliability poll

From what I've heard, the Civic problems are attributed to the diesel engine.

I've seen the brand league table on the thisismoney website but I can't get access at work to get the link. Skoda only got 78% :P

As with many surveys, there is a real number of people versus % indication. You know the 76% of women prefer this cream to nothing at all; survey of 16.

We've had a civic, actually two now and covered over 30k and not had any problems. But we didn't fill a survey out. I think it's far more liekly had we had problems, we would of done so. Certainly if customer care was poor I'd make a point of marking them down, it this last bit I fear for the likes of Skoda Uk who don't appear to get the service element right...

Looks good for our Hyundai we have on order!

I wonder how all these surveys compare - you know, What car? with Which? I suppose they are ballpark...

Just had a look on there and there was a quote from someone saying, 'I have had the same Mini Metro since I bought it from new in 1985.'

That's really impressive; it's like saying, 'I've have the same legs I was born with forty-three years ago.' Numpty.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I had a look at the magazine in Sainsburys today, it was 4 quid - I didn't buy it. Looked for my car but forgot the civic, doh.

I work for a big co. that use a lot of hire cars, our local 'depot' use a lot of 1.8 civics. To be honest I've never heard of a broken down one. Only problems have been safety related - no spare tyre and handbrake use warning. And some of those cars get a hard life in those 10k miles

.

Yeah, it's had 2 engines, 4 new displacers, new heater matrix, new rear subframe, new front sub mounts.....

Triggers Broom.

Also, what did it say the most reliable mini MPV was....?

Excuse me for the poor formating but you should get the jist
