anyone any ideas how far the 1.4 VW TDI (75 bhp) can be modded. just so i can let the new polo (03) owner accross from me know what theyre missing.

had a look inside today - very simialr switchgear to the fabia vrs but does look a little smarter overall .couldnt see anything obvious that could be switched to the fabia for improvements tho.

Remap is possible, AmD have done a few Polo's and Audi A2's other than that its the usual Fabia mods of brakes and suspension.

Isn't the 75bhp TDi the 3 cylinder one? Does this limit what can be done?

As an aside, I mentioned to Mrs.rich1068 (after reading it on here) that a Polo GTi was coming out with the more powerful 130 bhp engine. You know, the one that's exclusive to the Polo 'Well I'll have to get mine chipped then' came the reply. Good girl!

Yep , three quarters of whatever the PD100 achieves.

isnt the pole based on the fabia platform and shares a lot of components? cant expect it to be a lot less in weight (although lighter engine than the vrs).

overall then 100 BHP aint much to shout about - dont suppose i'll be recommending it to be done!

vrs is 1300kg iirc - 340kg heavier than a saxo vts, and over 500kg heavier than the old AX GT!

And boy can you tell it when your driving, it dont seem like your in a baked bean tin.

Fair enough it's not Fabia RS figures but my wife's Polo Sport TDi certainly does shift.

Originally I was just wondering if tuning the 3 cylinder version might just make it a bit harsh.
