Cake and eat it...

Featured Replies

Was wondering what low-cost mods I can now make to get some more out of my Octy VRS II I have had quite a bit done to it so far which includes Revo Stage I, fuel pump mod, Bonio Induction, short shifter, side to side shifter, and Pro kit + FSD's

I recently took a drive (3hr one!) down to JKM where they fitted the shifters and suspension. They had to replace the diverter valve as mine had gone pop, Kate said that the boost was far too high and they had to turn it down a tad.

Now as regards the ride and gearchange, well 'night and day' doesn't really cover it as it handles much better (although ride is alot firmer) and gear change is effortless. But, I miss the extra power!

Tbh, is still quite torquey and the fuel pump mod ensures smooth power delivery to the redline. Is there anything else I can do to increase the power without adding a performance exhaust and an Evoms kit as I now cant afford them!

Like the title suggests...cake and eat it springs to mind! :D

Cheers

£50 will get you a stage 2 revo, and if you have a select + switch you can tinker with the fuel / boost / timing settings yourself.

It is designed to go with a full turbo back system, but I had it on mine with a catback and carbonio and got good results. The sticking point is the price of the select+ switch, which for £5 worth of components is way overpriced considering what you have already paid.

Other than that, I can't really think of a way to increase the power, unless you ditched the revo and had a custom map done to tailor to your needs.

Is that missing a zero?

Is that missing a zero?

No, but you would need to have stage 1 already. ;)

I was wondering and nearly took a hammer to the piggy bank.....
