If your rear wiper motor is dying...

Featured Replies

...just clear half a plant pot of crappy soil out of it!

I couldnt believe the cack that was inside. Unscrew the 6-8 torx screws from the plate off the back, clean out and liberally grease.

Its working like a trooper now!

Nice one, thanks.

I'll have a look at mine... I've often thought it could be more enthusiastic.

Useful information that cheers

mines just frustrating as it wont work unless water rear or front wipers washed then it only works for 3 wipes.

Well worth doing I've just done mine.

One other word of advice is put some ptfe tape around the washer bit as this then forms a really good seal and shoudn't leak again thus buggering the motor in the first place.

Cheers

Just don't wait too long to clean it out, after about a month of going slow and wonky mined seized and stripped the plastic drive on the motor!!!!

On a low mileage '54 plate VRS....:thumbdwn:

Anyone replaced this? Haven't been brave enough to ask the dealer for price yet!!!
