Vw Golf Air Con pump on eBay, also, Volkswagen, Car Parts, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 04-Jul-08 12:19:01 BST)

Hello peeps

I got a red 51 plate Octavia VRS from the auctions last week and i have discovered that the aircon pump is missing, i have searched high and low for a used one but nobody has one for sale, however i have found this on e-bay (check out the link above) and i was hoping that someone here could tell me what model of VW Golf or Audi has the same engine because they only supply these makes and from reading threads on here i understand that engines used on the Skoda Octavia are the same in some Golfs, Audi's and Seats.

You need the part number for your car to check, many different models and makes fitted accross the range.

If they have removed it then I guess its using a diffeelt and tensioner also.

Yes they will if you give them all your car details. Eg:Chassis number etc...

That one on ebay is not right for a MK1 Octy VRS. You need one where both of the pipes fix to the opposite end of the pully (the rear of the compressor) , not on the side as shown in that picture.

pretty weird that someone removed the pump!

must have been the borrowers...

It might take you a while to track one down, but im sure you'll find one eventually. I wonder if the pumps are the same across the Octavia range, if they are you might get lucky in a scrappy.

Have a look on this website , it shows the one you need. A new one for £244 + VAt is a good price:-

Before you start work out what other parts of the system you need as it could work out very exspensive. ie if you are also missing some of the high pressure hoses these are over £100 each , and you can only get them from Skoda.
