Am I doing my Octy any favours????

Featured Replies

Bit of a Q. My vRS sits about all week not being used (living on an airforce camp I don't really need to use it) I use it pretty much 3 weekends out of 4, do you think this is bad or good for it????? I ask this as when it is started up from cold, it sometimes feels a bit limp (I let the engine get warm before any antics) but after a bit of driving the power is back. Could this be crap in the engine that gets blown out after a while?? Or something else I am a total mechanical nightmare so please excuse me :D

Mine's pretty much a weekend car too, apart from occasional random blasts...

As long as you don't thrash it from cold and give it some nice long runs when you DO drive it, it should be fine. :)

Don't worry about it. You're just panicking because it's your pride and joy. So long as you're on fixed servicing (ie time not distance) everything should be fine.

Weekend car here to, only done 6k in 15 months. Used to use it everyday, but the parking situation at work forced me to buy another cheap car to commute. I have left the octy for 3 weeks once, still started 1st time though in the depths of winter.
