Has anybody got one of these fitted?

I dropped them an e-mail and asked if there are any DPF issues, and whether it was compatible with a TDi VRS 170PD - response was as below

I saw this on the tonight programme the other day. He had one fitted to his Range Rover. Apparently gave 30 odd bhp extra and better mpg overall. Not sure, based on current views whether would use this instead of a remap.

About half the price of a remap I think

we sell them at our delearship, not sure what price for, but if you want them, get in quick. they've just changed suppliers, or something similar, anyway, they're going to run out of stock pretty soon before the next delivery, so if you want one act fast. this may or may not only affect the common rail boxes, though, so us lot with PD engines should be ok

I assume that they are removable so that when you move a car on you can keep the box?

I would doubt it as any figures altered by the remap and wont be altered again. Plus whats the point in spending the money on having something done properly only to do a half measure afterwards.

Just to clarify. The distributor of DPT is out of stock of Common Rail units only. This was a combination of several factors;

After the Quentin Willson TV feature demand was unpresendented and all UK stock was sold.

The product is manufactured in Holland which has JUST returned to work after a 2 week factory closedown. So very limited stock was available from Holland , that which was supplied was also all sold.

Finally there is NO intention at all of another manufacturer / supplir being used. Randstad the company who control DPT in the UK, Ireland and Spain are 100% committed to Wim Essing the ex F1 engineer who developed DPt technology and his product. There is no interest from randstad in ANY alternative product.
