Deposit paid today!!!!

Featured Replies

I've placed a deposit on a 55 plate Passat 2litre TDI Sport today.

Once the loan is processed then a flight from Edinburgh to Cardiff to pick it up.

Can't wait trading up from an X plate VW Bora which is going to my brother-in-law.

The new car is Mocha coloured (never really seen any about in that colour) with Latte leather heated seats and cruise control.

Just need to see about getting reversing sensors fitted and body coloured.

Hope the picture attachment works.

Enjoy! I know it's not a new car or a Skoda but to say I'm exited is an understatement.

Good memory John.

I've still got that which will be my car and this will be for my wife to drive.

She has to impress in the company car park whereas I work in industry where a car is basically to get from A to B.

many thanks for the kind comments. Should be a stepup from both cars we have at the moment.

I was thinking about a Superb or Saab 9-5 but my wife does like the electronic parking brake and wanted leather which made the search easier but harder at the same time. We knew it was going to be a Passat but finding a Sport with leather and reasonable mileage at the right price was a bit of a nightmare.

Flights to Cardiff are an absolute rip off though. Looking at 4p plus taxes so £22.04 one way. Not sure I'll stretch to fly but we'll manage somehow.

Glad to hear you've still got that one, was a nice motor from the pictures I saw

I'd give the wife your 1.9 'S' spec one and have that for yourself

I wouldn't have gotten it if it was going to be that way round:rofl:

I don't fancy the idea od dirty oily jeans on the leather and I drive further so the extra economy makes a difference.

Having a Sport and an S is going to make me want to spec up the grey 1 more, already thinking of trying to source SE alloys which means I can use the same tyres and possibly some tints but not sure.

These mods would be some time off with the impending purchase.

Tidy!

Just be aware of some of the staff....

Do you something I don't?

I've only dealt with the salesman called Clive and to be honest he's been a delight to deal with so far. Seemed genuine and fairly up front about all aspects of the car.

He even got VW to fax him a list of all the recalls and warranty work carried out.

It had recently been reduced by £1k then I negotiated hard to get another £500 plus a tank of fuel which is about £90.

Do like those cars enjoy:thumbup:
