Furby vRS - What should I ask?

Featured Replies

After finally having enough of my problematic 16v Fabia I'm going to get a vRS in silver, probably without any options. Are there any questions that I ought to ask the dealer? Or are there any options that are a must have (with the exception of black paint - I just don't like it, but that's my personal opinion :P ).

I'll be pushing for a good discount after the issues (see above thread), but I'm guessing owners will know some things that I won't have thought of.

If anyone see a stone grey metallic 16v on a 52 plate on a dealers forecourt over the coming months feel free to send me a personal message to check it isn't mine. Believe me, you don't want it!

Thanks,

If you're not going for any options, just make sure you either get the highest price possible for your car or the lowest price for the vRS. Haggle like mad, and once the salesmen agree to what you want, make sure you get carpet mats, a full tank of diesel and 6 months road tax. :D

I'd say that the must have options are side airbags, you'd be silly not to, for obvious reasons.

Then followed closely by Xenons, again another type of safety feature, and at

Try and get 12 months road tax, but watch, if you buy at the end of the month when the best deals are out (or when dealers are desperate) make sure you get road tax for the following month and not road tax that includes the month your already 20 odd days into! My dealer as a result paid for 1 year and 1 weeks road tax to make sure we fell into the next month.

I got xenons free of charge along with full tank of diesel and 12 month road tax and mats all for

Horners bury are selling the standard spec car in either yella or Red (non-metallic) for 10995. Carpet mats are standard fit.

My car cost 11260 when i got mine :D

(altho i did get well and truly ripped off for tradein on the clio... turns out it was worth about 1.5k more even @ trade price

Thanks for all that advise.

I'm only disappointed I live in the Hertfordshire/Cambridgeshire area as it sounds like there are good deals all over the country.

Off to practise my poker face for going to the dealer tomorrow afternoon. :P

Some good tips, but I thought ALL new cars came with 12 months tax and the VRS comes with mats as standard?

I always laugh when I see petrol/diesel is included as it does not specify how much.

My first Skoda had a full tank which impressed me while the second had under a quarter of a tank (I should point out it was a diffeent dealer). However under the trade descriptions act they both came "with petrol" as described.

Nice and vague!
