Estate luggage partition

Featured Replies

Just swapped my 2.0 TDI elegance hatch for an estate 2.0 TDI elegance DSG. Very pleased with it so far. Thinking about getting a luggage partition grill. Can anyone tell me:

a. can these be retrofitted?

b. are they removable?

c. are they any good?

The standard dog guard for estate is what I have in my car. Dealer fitted it for free when I got the car.

It has little metal support posts behind the rear seats that are fitted then the guard simply screws and slots into these posts which stay in the car and you can take the partition out in about 2 mins should you ever need to carry anything big.

Good things:

The Skoda one is purpose made for the octy estate so it follows the lines of the roof and side, so looks good.

Fits behind rear seats but before roller shelf thing so looks like it's meant to be their. Skoda accessory page has pictures. Just make sure you get the right one as dealer tried to fit a hatch one by mistake - someone got shouted at when i said it didn't look right. I've also got the boot floor cover which protects floor and walls of boot from dog... and folds down to protect bumper when dog jumnps in and out

I have the Skoda dog guard in my estate, cost about £93 IIRC, and I fitted it myself. Get the dealer to do it for you if you're ordering the car from them - its a pig (45-60 mins of swearing) if you haven't done it before (10 mins if you have). And throw away the locking washers as the bolts aren't long enough to go through the washers and the nuts
