I've been away from this forum for a while but have come across this thread. I guess the company Des has been talking to are these guys: Light-Weight Carbon Fibre Car Parts | Performance-Trim

Based in West Sussex not that far from me. I've seen the quality of their products and they are good. As Des says a one off is £1500 for the mould, but with a group buy the price is massively reduced. Would look good on a yellow/black themed Octy

I'd need to save the pennies but def interested if anyone is going to commit.

I'm not going for the look but more a weight saving exercise, so it would have to be a real carbon bonnet for me or nothing.
