black vrs with anthracite wheels

Featured Replies

hey there guys, just a quick pic request, anyone got any pictures of their standard spiders refurbed in anthracite? if they are on a black vrs it would be a double bonus.

many thanks

Do a search as there are numerous pictures of cars on here with black wheels, in both Octy & Fabia.

Here's a couple of mine in black but i don't have any close ups of the wheels

I know it's not in exactly pristine condition, but you get the idea...

I'll take some new ones tomorrow now that it's all shiney and fixed again:D

There is something not quite right about that car.....

.......ah, got it. That front tyre is on the wrong way round. The tread pattern is not right.

does anybody have any rough price ideas on how much a refurb + spray in another colour cost then?

About £40 a wheel depending where you go.

maybe the directional tread on backwards is why the front got smashed up!!

i know when i bought my VRS it had a directional on the wrong way round!

I thought he was joking, but I had a look today, and they are back to front. I'll just swap the N/S wheel with the O/S wheel -that'll sort it.

Anyway, pics...

It's looking a lot better!!

Just a bit of T-cut and it polished out?

Looking good there John :thumbup::thumbup:

I'm in the process of making myself a non badged grill at the moment - I inadvertently bought a pre facelift grill, which fits, but leaves a few small gaps, so I'm using it as a dry run...

So far, I've cut out the circle for the Skoda badge, then repaired the cut edges with fibreglass matting and filler. The chrome is now sprayed matt black (didn't have any metallic) in preparation for a bit of mesh to go in the middle.

It'll probably look naff up close, but I've got so much else to buy to get it back on the road, I need to cut a few corners, and a Milotec grill isn't really what I call cutting corners!

Once it's done, I'll stick up a few pics, and if anyone likes it I'll do a "how to" with pics once I source the correct grill...
