i dont have internet at home but have unlimited internet on my n95/voda contract, could i use it as a modem to connect the wii to the internet?

Yes.. i use this handy lil app. you might struggle to get it to work well with gaming because of the latency... but i use it between the N95 and piephone for 3g web browsing

i was going to have a go last night but my x(still in the same house) got the tv remote so i was pretty much locked out till gone 11.

will have a go tonight but dont hold much hope for a good enough connection.

Vodafone use a different dictionary to the rest of us.

I'm pretty sure even their "unlimited" TV advert says only 500mb on the screen during the advert.

I got my unlimited via a bolt-on, so any tarrif can be supplied with unlimited mobile internet as long as you sign up for the bolt-on.

i couldnt get the wii to recognise the ssid btw. It found the hotspot but wouldnt connect. never mind.

maybe we should take vodafone to court for mis selling products

Yeah, they only do data included on the piephone tarriffs, otherwise its a £7.50 for unlimited* data (which is what i have and hammer it lots)

Cheers Col - just found that the unlimited web browsing bolt-on is available as an inclusive part of some of the O2 contracts. Is the same as what you use? Is this at 3G speed and if no coverage, at GPRS?

Just doing a bit of shopping about to see if a similar allowance/setup is available from other networks, to see if I can then go back to O2 and get a better deal

I think I am in the same situation and was wondering if you have read the fairpolicy quote from Voda?
