Retrofit Multi Function Steeringwheel

Featured Replies

I have bought a MFSW on ebay.

SKODA OCTAVIA 2 MFL LEDERLENKRAD LENKRAD LEDER AIRBAG bei eBay.de: Innenausstattung (endet 21.06.08 20:00:00 MESZ)

I went to the Skoda dealer today and they tried to fit but with no luck.

They say its to old (My Octavia 2 is a 2006 model)

They tried to change it and fitted the old one again.

AND charged me 140 pounds (they have used 2 hours on it)

I can't believe that they removed the old steering wheel, the battery has not been disconnected (the trip counter wasn't reset) and they wouldn't move the airbag without disconnecting the battery.

I also bought a box for the steering wheel

They say that it can't be fitted in a Octavia2

Have they try to cheat me ?

Henrik

Your steering wheel controller may not have been compatible with the MFSW. The best thing when buying the wheel is to try and get the controller from the original car.

Also if you know what you are doing its quiet possible to remove the wheel without disconnecting the battery, although not recommended.

This thread regarding the MSFW makes a good read.

Sounds a bit fishy to me Henrik.

That wheel is an A5 Octavia II wheel and the controller you have is a 1Z part number which is the A5 Octavia II chassis designator. I can't say for sure if it suits a MFSW as I can't check the number.

Hi Henrik,

I had the same steering wheel mounted to my O2 ('08 model) at Skoda in Randers (I'm guessing you're Danish....)

My car came with the BC comtrol module, and they had to change to the AK version - don't know if the AG will work.

Call them 86401100 - ask for Tommy....

Which workshop are you using?
