Hi folks

I am competing in the Isle of Man rally this month 18th-20th July. Due to restrictions on the ferry from N Ireland we are unable to carry as many spares as usual.

This is where we are looking for your help. In the event of us needing an unusal part (for exmaple a water bottle hose) we have not brought with us can you assist us by having access to your vRS?

This would allow us to continue the rally without having to retire.

We would obvisously appreciate this and you would be componsated accordingly.

You can't carry water hose on the ferry? :eek: What are they fearing? (I realise you were giving an example but am curious about the restrictions)

I'm guessing that the problem will be something like the ferry having a height restriction that stops John having the spare wheels on the barge roof, and stuff they don't expect to need being displaced from the inside to make room for them.

On local events we have a spare vRS was can use for any part we need. As this event is on the Isle of Man we wont be talking the other vRS. I hope we will have any spares with us that we may need. I am just asking in case we need a part we may not have with us.

Is there a Skoda dealer on the Isle of Man? Might be worth giving them a shout if so? Maybe arrange some sponsorship for them on the car in return, if that's possible?

Maybe they might look after you if you gave them a list of items they stocked, and if un-used then you could return them after the event.

Although I suppose its hard to foresee all circumstances

I met Paul from Pacenotes magazine last night (Home).

I'm not sure whether they will be there and whether they will need their cars anyway, but he was telling me they still run a few Fabias on their fleet, so they might be worth a try.
