Symphony Radio Turns On Whilst Unattended

Featured Replies

Hello Briskodians - can you help?

I've had to remove fuse 45 from my Fabia vRS, because the radio (Symphony) switches on when the car is left unattended and I don't want a flat battery :( .

It seems to be random when/where it happens. I've changed the radio setting re: ignition key in lock and tried leaving the car with the radio on/off button in both positions - the radio can still switch itself on when I'm not there.

In case it's important to any replies, the car also has the 6CD changer under the passenger seat and a hands free kit (all original Skoda fitted - the car was a demonstrator).

I've had the car 6 months and this behaviour has only occurred in the last month.

I've trawled the internet for answers to this and have found similar issues with Seat and Vauxhall radios, but no specific mention of this problem with the Symphony.

Hope someone can help.

Cheers

Anton

Don't know whether its relevant,

SWMBO had her Golf in the dealers sorting an ESP fault. At the same time her radio was updated (I presume in the software sense) to prevent this very fault.

I would suggest a call to your dealers....
