Fusebox connector part number?

Featured Replies

Does anyone have a part number for a fusebox connector for the Octy2 fusebox (ie female part of spade connector for normal size fuse I can crimp onto a wire). I have seen people crimping normal spade connectors on and just plugging them into the front of the fusebox but wanted to see if its possible to put a proper connector in so I can then use a normal fuse in there.

thanks

Andy

000 979 135 should be ok, 1mm2 wire with connectors (flat contact with retaining lug).

I used those myself when installing handsfree and extra power outlets.

Thanks Ama, got a couple ordered up for the weekends work now! :)

Remember you need to release the locking arrangement on the fuse panel before you can insert a terminal.

Stu,

thanks for the tip, however, not quite sure what you mean... Unfortunately the lower captive nut for the fusebox has decided to just spin in its housing so i have no way to take the fusebox out completly (short of attacking it with the dremel to cut the bolt out) I can get the read cover of the fusebox out of the way no problem so if someone can point me in the right direction as to how to insert a new terminal that would be good (I thought i had the wrong terminals at first as they wouldn't lock in place but it may just be that they are being blocked?)

Thanks

Andy

The locking arrangement is the part which holds the purple part in place and thus stops you inserting new terminals. If you can find it in the search I have posted pics of how to do it.

You don't need to remove the fusebox simply remove the back cover, release the latch mentioned above, slide the inner purple part down and insert the terminal. The back cover will not go on until the purple part is back in place.
