Accident damaged vRS bought from dealers

Featured Replies

Basically i bought my car from the dealers a good 9-10 months ago now.

did the usual HPI checks, All clear, and on first inspection of the car all was well.

But afterwards i did notice slight bubbling in the paint above the rear wheel.

Have i got any come back on this?

If it has been repaired and the repair was done my a bodyshop with Skoda UK approval, the standard anti-perforation and paint warranties apply. If it was repaired by someone else, you may have a fight on your hands.

It seems to be from underneath, hasn't broke the surface, i think it must not have been prepped properly when it was being sprayed!

Probably. They either didn't seam seal properly, or trapped some moisture there.

I know this aint gunna help but ive just taken my car back to the dealers i bought it from the very same reason, i took it to my local body shop who explained it had had a rear quarter and was starting to rust. Ive since had the car replaced and very happy with this one

Surely tho you would have a case as it should still be under warranty?

I was lucky as mine was spotted within the 30 day period where if your not happy they will replace it.

If the car was secondhand, chances are the dealer didnt know of any previous history. They could have taken it as a part exchange without knowing anything of its past, as you say its HPI clear.

A decent bodyshop should be able to sort it, if you get no joy from skoda.

It was literally just traded in 2 days before, the dealer never even knew it had c/c or heated seats or a pd160 , green cotton filter and Star performance remap LOL
