Applying Snow Foam W Low Pressure Sprayer

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Having wiped out my entire budget on a new Octy I need to know if i can apply Show foam with one of those Low pressure pump sprayers that have the bottle and a small hose with spray attachment on the end.

Santa is bringing me a pressure washer (or i will kill her), but until then i dont want to start contact washing the car.

If i can use a low pressure sprayer will i need some sort of adaptor.

I have seen the gilmour foam dispenser that goes on the hose, but dont want to go to that expense right now.

Thanks in advance

Lee

I use a Karcher attachment, with an adapter which allows it to be attached to a standard hosepipe. The karcher attachment can also be used with a pressure washer later down the line.

can you get snow foam in halfrauds?

I have been using snow foam but cant seem to get it right.

I assumed that it would take the dirt right off if you wanted to without having to sponge it, but I do the snow foam then when it runs off all the dirt is still there.

No not that I've ever seen.

I use snow foam with my pressure washer and get the same results as shown in the photo posted above.

I did use it with a normal hose pipe and an attachment from cleanyourcar.co.uk and got the following results.

As you can see it's nowhere near as good as with the pressure washer.

Hope this is of some help.

Cheers

Dave.

Depends how dirty it is.

Snow foam will get off a light dust and busy when followed by a pressure washer, but often if will need a follow up wash with a mitt.

i had a go for the first time today with my wickes pressure washer and foam lance. cant say i was overly impressed, was hoping for the shaving foam effect. i got my snowfoam from autobrite.com. i dont know if im doing something wrong or if the snowfoam/foam lance is just of bad quality.

Using a Karcher pressure washer and the snow foam lance & snow foam from cleanyourcar.co.uk i get the same results as Dexterous posted in his picture earlier up in the thread. When filling the snow foam reservoir on the lance i put approx 1" of snow foam, 1" of megs gold class shampoo then top up with warm water.

May be you don't have the lance set up correctly??? I know mine is adjustable so it may be that it's turned right down to min etc.....????

Cheers

Im using a autobrite karcher lance with a karcher pressure washer and autobrite snowfoam. Covers the fabia in thick foam almost like shaving foam lol (Same as Dexterous pic)

You can adjust the snow with the RED dial on the left of the lance, turn left for more or right for less foam. I use 1cm of snow foam topped up with warm water in a half litre bottle

Turned up to max and back about 1cm. Does the car twice.

AB/etc HD foam lance and Bilt Hamber Autofoam for a nice thick foam that dwells for about 10 minutes :D

how do you guys leave the foam on for 10mins!!!!! mine is drying off after about 5 mins max in the car?

After 10 minutes there are just the last bits of foam on the car and most of it has run down taking the dirt with it.

Pressure washer it after 10 minutes or before it starts to dry out and you're onto a winner.
