Hi there

Featured Replies

I am Geoff from South Norfolk, getting on in years but love a bargain, which I saw on Ebay!!! a '06 Octavia 1.9 est, thats for me I thought,I had been driving a nice Merc for 5 years and the diesel was draining my pocket money so a trip up to Giordie land and a deal was made, wow, was I impressed, the cops had so many chances to have me for speeding on the way back down here, yes over the ton without realising it a couple or more times, and still got 55 mpg, unbelievable then but not any more having recorded 72mpg on one afternoons trip (are these readouts accurate?) Do I miss the Merc? do I miss a headache lol, this has all that had and lots more, I am so very pleased with it except for one thing, I need a rear wiper motor, where are they all? best wishes to all, super site.Geoff oops, most importantly, partner Doreen likes it as well lol. Hiya.

We're pretty sure that the average mpg mode is optomistic by up to about 10%, but that still means 50mpg in fast m/way cruising, and up to mid 60s. That's entirely plausible based on fill to fill data, and the more accurate "available range" mode on the computer.

Hello and Welcome.

Hello & welcome geoff, enjoy the site

Hi and welcome.

If its an 06 reg and the rear wiper motor is dead, surely its under warranty? See your local Skoda dealer, providing the mileage is under 60,000, it should get sorted for free.
