Tom if you must replace the suspension then go for OEM ST200. iirc 20mm lower than standard and will help the handling no end.

HTH

Carl:thumbup:

Or better buy an ST200.:D

So what is available for 328i's then? ;)

I think you should save your money Tom.

After all you'll soon have to pay £4 billion a year in road tax ;)

What band is a late 90's 328i in?

Insurance is another £7 a month, tax is the same being pre 2001. (£185/yr) :D Its official figures show 1mpg more economical too!

Pick it up on Wednesday!

Nice shade of green from what I hear, very similar colour to this one ;)

A Green 328i

Certainly a new take on green motoring, but I guess tom is saving the environment by fixing up older cars and selling them on :)

Small world isn't it!! :P

Its not a deal set in stone yet. I've yet to hear back that the a/c, leaky diff and clutch thrust bearings are fixed... but fingers crossed! :)

£1000 p/x for the Mondeo to boot!! Brings the 328 bang on the money. Its quite a rare spec, my favourite colour, and the nice sports seats/wheel etc make it feel quite special. :)

Indeed it is, but then the trader is your friend :D

Check the whole climate control unit works as it should, any irregularities i.e. flickering display, not turning on/off EVERY time etc means a new unit (only about £100 IIRC) but a common fault, my '96 got through 3 in as many years.

Umm........ it was said yesterday that the govt. had admitted that cars prior to 2001 will after all have to be taxed at the new higher rates.

Not quite, they just want to put some extra charges on as they realised that people will be environmentally friendly and keep older cars running to save on the CO2 of production as well as paying less tax ;)

Tom

You crack me up mate

How much you going to spend on this economy motor ????

Tom should just stop saying he's on an economy drive, because he obviously isn't. Although the cost of this Beemer is a lot less than most of us spend :)

Instead, Tom should just admit to a mental condition that allows him only to keep each car a very very short space of time :P

6 months?!?!?! You think he'll have kept it that long?

Personally, I reckon he'll get bored of it by the end of August, or if the weather keeps like this, he'll chop it in for a convertible by the end of next week.
