How long did it take for your vRS octavia to arrive.

The dealer was rying to tell me if i put a order on now, id be lucky to get it b4 the end of june, not sure if he is serious or trying the hard sell, as if the car arrives after 30th june, i lose out on 0%, which if is the case ill walk away till august.

Yes it could take that long. Each RS is usually factory built to your requirements although your dealer may find another one in the UK thats the same in which case you may only have to wait a week or so.

If you have more than one dealer in the area, pay each a visit as one may already have what you are looking for. I purchased the one that my dealer had so only had to wait 3 days.

At least you will know that your car is brand new and has not been left on an airfield for months before being sold.

I had to wait a month for mine and that only because my dealer managed to find one after ringing round. So you could be waiting a while for one..

to be honest the longer the wait te better for me, sounds strange but true, however the reason why its become an issue is if they try to delay it so i have to pay finance!

I got my previous Octy and the RS from Sherlodge Garage in Kent and both where delivered in 2 weeks.

When I asked my local dealer in Basingstoke about delivery times he said he didn't know as it depend if what you wanted was in the country or it had to be ordered.

When I wanted mine there was quite a demand for RS'; not sure whether this is still true.

I suppose it depends on whether you want s/r and c/c. There probably is a stock of the basic car in all the colours. Things like alarms and parking sensors can be fitted by the dealer.

I ordered my 4x4 turbo (from the same factory) on Feb 3, and it will arrive on April 17, so actually end of June seems like a good guess. The boat ride to the UK might account for some more time - that is, if the boat doesn't sink on the way over.
