Lowering Fabia

Featured Replies

cheers! much appreciated - sorry for not looking properly first!

all i can say is if you can afford it get the kw coilovers, they are expensive, but well worth every penny:thumbup:

drop links probably, but mines proper low not just 30mm and i havn't fit new drop links yet:thumbup:

your's cant be low enough, i couldnt drive mine off the garage ramp without fixing my droplink issue as they were rubbing off the shafts

hi there mate i asked this question not long ago lots of options but i have gone for eibach springs mate due to ride comfort and not wanting to go to low with the sump

everyone seems to reckon the sump is an issue but i haven't had any problems yet although my subframe has hit a bump in the road once.

i kinda cheated a little, mine don't run fully wound down all the time:Obut its still way lower than 40mm:Dprobably 60mm for dailey driving

:P try going down another inch :eek:

although its not much good for street racing, hit a pebble and you'll bounce out your seat! not that i do that kind of thing offcourse ;)

I was looking at going for Weitecs. They seemed a pretty good all round option.

I did look at getting coilovers, but I couldnt justify the cost to my self.

But so tempting...

Who knows when im out tomorrow the dreaded credit card might come out and buy some.?

But I will try to refrain.!

ok - what are the differences between those and the eibach then?

i do a lot of country lane driving to work and back - which will make this a more plesant experience? (although its awesome fun bit of road its not the smoothest)

the eibachs are just springs, with coilovers you get springs, dampers and the ability to adjust,if you want ultimate perfomance you get coilovers,if you want a nice ride and a little lower and cheap get the eibachs,if you want more comfort and a little more sportyness the eibachs and koni fsd dampers are very popular:thumbup:

riite! ok i'll look at prices, dont have a huuuuuuge amount but if i can justify it i might just go all out and do it right i guess - got a bit of overtime comin my way i hope next month

best thing would be to go to a couple of meets and blag a ride in a car equiped with these setups, then you can be sure:thumbup:
