vRS Mileage Quesion

Featured Replies

Hi everyone, im new to the forum. Just traded my golf in for a fabia vRS, 53 reg. I've had a search round but cant seem to get a defintate answer...

What sort of mileage are you guys doing to a full tank...

my golf would cost 62 quid thereabouts to fill, and i would get around 320-350 miles...

could people put the cost to fill up with how many miles it has returned please? That would be great if people could

Thanks, Andy

Depending on my driving and thats what it depends on.

At the moment I do a lot of town driving so mostly about 350-360 miles per tank, on a longer run and mixed I can get about 420-430 miles from the tank.

Hope that helps.

Mine is roughly a £55 brim full from very empty (at £1.30 odd a litre) and that "should" see me to 500 miles at least before I start to get worried. Much of my driving is 40mph pootleing on bendy A roads, and fairly sedate motorway work, so I never really suffer the poor economy associated with city driving.

my god, that's going to be a big change...what MPG does your trip computer indicate for that then?

Thanks, Andy

How many ltr's in a tank?

I can get 450 in my GTi!!!!

The Fabia has a really small tank (45L) but it should be good for at least 500 as mentioned. At current prices this should cost you around £58-60

My Roomster can cost my up to about £70 if I brim it but I can get 650 out of that.

ahhhh...this sounds brilliant. shouls be filling far less often now! Thanks!

106 :) 45ltr tank. I'm good at economical driving as well as boot down.

450 was cardiff and back at 60mph though :)

That was using V-Power too.

They remap well though dont they?

Sorry to go off topic though.

Filled up today £58.34.

Should give me 590 miles.

If i drive throttle happy... 400 miles.

If i drive granny style... 690 miles.

I dont do any city stop start driving... im a counrty fellow.

No traffic around me really so...

Good mpg.!! =)

My 1st full tank of shell v power (only had car a few weeks ) 420 miles before the light came on, tho that was 270 miles of m way, currently doing bout 53-55mpg but its a lot of stop start traffic included

About 50 quid from the fuel light, then about 400 miles IIRC until the next fuel light- don't check it. I see 45-47 on the fuel computer, which seems fairly accurate on mine.

This it on my commute, urban small roads and then on the motorway. I've had 57 mpg on a gentler run.

The Fabia has a 45 Litre tank but if the expansion tank is filled it will take 54 litres.

I have twice done 653 miles in my vRS on one tank.

I usually average 54 mpg. Do not rely on the computer, mine is at least 20 percent optimistic. I only rely on brim to brim calculations.

Driving gently I get 60mpg. I have done 20 k miles since new.

i have never managed over 400 miles on a tank, most of the time i get about 280,or 35mpg on the computer:O

I get pretty much spot on 400 miles out of every tank. Dunno how the hell some of you guys get in the mid to high 500 mile mark!

i believe its the way you drive em;)

I get about 430 each time.

I usually get 300 to a tank. Though I'm doing more long trips now and am seeing between 300-400 to a tank depending on how many long trips I do between filling up.

For example, just doing town trips and 'fun' drives in the country I almost consistently get 300 to the tank, doing a trip to Norfolk and back (300 miles) can see me at only around half a tank gone.

I'm not good at driving economically though.

I use the expansion tank when filling both of our vRS's up and usually get between 490 and 550 out of a tank..... Thats putting 50-odd litres in.

Cheers

Dave.
