You can now have lowered suspension from the Factory.

You can now order new Fabia with the option of lowered suspension available on any model bar the Greenline where it is standard.

It costs £90 as a factory option and drops the car by 15mm, not by much but I'm sure that the drop and some fancy wheels would really make the car look quite different.

Including Kombi? Any chance of seeing this offered on the Roomster as well? While we're at it have any of you heard any news as to when the FabiaII-Scout will show?!?

It's just springs, no dampers :(

I think it will not make that much difference seem as we have had 3 of our Sports lowered on Eibachs and you can only tell if you put two together.

Doesnt look that bad on 17s once on Eibachs though...

Need coilovers, tbh!

I doubt there will be a Scout variant - loads of people waiting for the vRS version though.

You wont notice 15mm, waste of money tbh

I disagree; this is about the difference between a 'standard' and 'vRS' Octavia and to look at the two side by side the difference IS noticeable.

Also with the shortened suspension travel the spring rates need to be higher i.e. they will be stiffer, with an appropriate improvement in handling; also brought on by a lowered C of G.

Just order it and then deny all knowledge of it, just say it was a swap...

why spend £90 on 15mm drop when you can get 40mm springs for the same price?! not the hardest of things to fit. if ou have the tools:O

if you have the tools and the knowhow. allot of people dont have that, or the time. plus this way it benfits from the full warrenty for 3 years too!

oh and if you think you wouldnt notice it, just look at the greenline, its clearly lower and thats the same springs :)

never said you wouldnt notice, just if people want it to be realy noticed to go for a bigger drop. wont skoda fit after market springs so the warrenty isnt void?? might cost a bit though

What difference does lowering the springs make?

What difference does lowering the springs make?

about 15mm lower to the floor, makes the car look better and might give a bit more feel to the drive, but until i get one in i coudlnt confirm that

that wasnt meant towards you:

it was a reply to this post :D

I have recently driven a Fabia II Sport 1.9 with a lowering kit and a REVO 140bhp remap. Enjoyed the drive and handling certainly felt better than my VRs - also available as a dealer fit to a new Sport.

For many, if not most, people, being noticed is the last thing that they want as it is a pure vanity thing. What really counts is how the car drives, and personally, having driven both, I think the Greenline drives much better than the car on standard springs.
