For some time now the water temperature sensor on the Octy has been faulty. I eventually got round to replacing it today. Lazy sod :mad:

Took 10 minutes and the most time-consuming part was replacing the engine cover!

Next job - rear brake discs - once I can get some at a decent price :(:(

Can any of you guys point me in the direction of the temp sensor on an 03 vrs?

Near enough - you have to remove another cover, but once you have it is a very easy job. Part is about £30 and is common to all 1.8T engines - I got mine from the VW dealer after explaining to the parts guy that my Skoda had a VAG engine :rolleyes:
