Every so often, the back light illumination of the dials cuts out for 2 seconds and then cuts back in, tends to be about a week apart but i've got no idea whats causing it

Yes my radio lights do the same just go out so i have to turn all lights off and then on again then all is ok :confused:

does everything go out, including the lights on the heater. If they stay on, then it could be a loose connection on the back of the instrument cluster. If they go off as well, then it could be a dodgy headlight switch.

i don't think its a dodgy connection or contact as they always go off for the exact amount of time, there's never any intermittent flashing like i would possibly expect with a wiring fault. im not sure if everything goes off. i will check next time
