I was a nokia man for a long time starting with the 3110 then the 8110 then the 5110 then the 6110 then the 6210 then the 6310i then the 6100 all good phones with the easy to use nokia interface. However this year i've gone for the sony ericsson T630 and can't fault it i find the interface just as easy as the nokia after a day or two and the display is nice and crisp... only thing is you cant see without touching the phone if you've missed calls and stuff... cant be ar5ed with all these new phones now tho they move to fast and I think all of the new models are a bit poo.

Never found the need for a camera phone myself until the London work came up and I need to get pictures discreetly.

I've been using a Nokia 6100 for work recently and it seems OK.

Biggest problem is the metallic effect around the screen can cause irritation during long calls.

Call clarity is generally good.

Battery life seems OK and a full charge doesn't take anywhere near as long as my personal 3310.

Don't think it has bluetooth and it certainly doesn't have a camera.

Just realised how many phones I have had!

Company owned:

N 2110 ("my first mobile" - chocolate brown, lovely!)

N 8110 (my favourite, great shape and was used in the Matrix)

N 6110 xlots, when battery \ screen problems

N 6150 xSeveral, when battery \ screen problems

N 3210

N 3310

N 6100 (color at last!)

Personally owned:

N 6210 (x2, sandra had to have the same...)

N 7650 (x2, sandra does not like to be left out...)

NEC e808 (x2, 3g is no fun on your own :D)

Sagem MY-X7 (x1, sent it back within days, ugh!)

SE P900 (x2, guess who also "needs" one!)

I've been through a few too, and look to be swapping again as soon as feasibly possible....

Started in 1997 with...

Nortel thingy... First phone, had built in hands free....THEN.......

Ericsson A1018 + chatboard....ahh the late night texting sessions.....

Ericsson T28 - didn't buy the chatboard, but the flip, the flip!!

Ericsson T28 - cos the battery connections died on the first.

Nokia 6210 - was pretty good, untill the battery clip failed........

Samsung SGH-N400 - cool blue backlight, manual flip, ELECTRIC AERIAL!!

SE T300 - PoS. Colour was nice, but e-mail use on it was garbage. Dog slow too.

SE T68 - blurgh. Seemed even slower than the T300.

Currently on a Handspring Treo 600, which is really good for what I want, apart from that fact this is the third one since December 2003......hardware failures left right and centre.......

Looking at nokia again, maybe the new 6 series flips.....

I have a .midi file with traditional (albeit US style) telephone bell ring on my 6230 - I can direct you to a free wap site to download it if you have GPRS enabled.

Cheers, John, that would have been great, except no GPRS (work phone) :(

Surely it should work over GSM too, just slower?

Rob.

Actually, a normal web site would do...

... or even e-mail ...

... I can download to PC and then squirt over to the phone via IR.

Hmmmm.

John?
