Hi all, im trying to get together some reviews of these as most seem to be for the blueflame/milltek exhausts.

Firstly im after something a bit louder than the milltek exhaust but just a catback. (Not going for a full system again). I hear these are a bit louder but not over the top. Ive listened to some vids on youtube but you cant get the full effect of what it sounds like.

As for price they are expensive and i think its about £325-50 for just the backbox :eek: however ifits worth it ill happily part with the cash.

Just another quick question do these stick out from the bumper alot as looking at some pics the tailpipe is a little long. hehe

Why not visit a place local to you like Topgear (Powerflow) Performance Stainless Steel Exhaust Systems from Wolfrace, Powerflow, Longlife and many more - Topgear Alloy Wheels and get them to make you a custom exhaust

I have a Supersprint on my Octy. The quality is superb, and it is little (if at all) noisier than standard.

It doesn't stick out too far - in fact, to the untrained eye, it is hard to tell from standard as it's an oval tailpipe.

Just to throw another one in the pot, ive been in a focus st with a janspeed exhaust and it sounds lurrvely, not seen one for the VRS yet though...

Yeah I know the guys down at Janspeed pretty well, and they do make some very nice systems. I've always had a stainless Janspeed system on all of my cars, so I'm waiting for them to start making one for the Mk1 vRS.

I've told them I want one from them, and they tell me they should be making one soon so fingers crossed.

They do make the sweetest sound! You can hear the difference between a cheap system and one that's been designed and made properly.

Piper are another good make that have recently released a range for the VRs on the market. Got a good choice of tailpipes also at decent prices. Could be worth a look

Janspeed sent me a email today saying they do make one for the mk1 Octavia with either twin 80mm Round tail pipes or a single 160x80mm rectangle tail pipe. Just cant find them any where yet, unless its the same as on the golf?

The systems on the VRS are different to the Golf and Bora. Even normal octavia systems are slightly different to the VRS due to the cut out in the bumper.
