Hard suspension since upgrade

Featured Replies

I have recently had FSD's and Prokit fitted to my vrs and for the most part I was happy with it, however the ride seems to be getting worse! :o

Now I feel like a bit of an idiot saying this as I know many people on here and at the end of the day it is a performance setup but the general understanding is that the ride isn’t compromised too much...

Maybe I have my tyre pressure wound up too much or are there 'tweaks' that can be made to the suspension to fine tune it?

Or maybe it’s me being too picky and I need to stop moaning (be honest chaps ;) )

All springs need time to "settle" and thus may get a little harder , but yes do lower your tire pressure and at worse see if you can buy a higher profile tire but this is if you realy cant live with the ride ( but i think you will get used to it )

As suggested already, try dropping a few psi out of the tyres. You'll need to experiment.

I run my coil-overed Fabia on 17's at 31 psi back and front.

(I know guys, I know, its way too low, the car is front-end heavy, etc, etc, I've heard it all before, but I have to drive on 5h1te roads and I need my back and my few remaining teeth).

What size tyres are you running Mat? That sounds about right for a 205/55 section, and wider or lower tyres would want lower pressures for road use.

They did shorted the bumpstops didn't they?

Assuming you've lowered the car if these are at OEM length and you are permanently on them it's would give a very hard ride.

I'm running 18's - 225/40's tried letting some air out but has affected the handling. Toying with the idea of putting the OEM springs back in...
