Skoda Fabia 1.4 16v Sport '05

Featured Replies

Hello,

I bought a Fabia Sport 4 or 5 months ago as my second car. Although the power isn't great I love the car. It looks good and is really nice to drive.

So far the mods I have done to the car are as follows,

- Side decals

- Rear window decals

- Dark rear half tint

- Light front tint

- Medium sun strip tint

- Pipercross Induction

- Middle box removed and replaced with strait pipe

- 17" vRS alloys

- Lowered 35mm on Stiff Sports springs

Let me know what you think, and what else I can do as far as modding goes.

I have two questions I hope someone won't mind answering.

1. I haven't got speakers in the rear, what ones do you recommend and are they easy to install?

2. When I changed the wheels I noticed a difference in the gears, could the new sized wheels have changed the gear ratios and if so is it expensive to have them set back to how they should be?

Also in the pictures are Octy L&K and Fabia vRS (180bhp)

Here are some pictures, I may update them in the near future

Thanks for the reply's. I tend to get quite a few looks from other road users. I need to get my calipers painted green, the springs are green and it really looks good.

I'd quite like to know where you get the chrome door pins and TT pedals though if any one could help me!

Hey nice car:)

1) rear speakers - go scrappy and fish some out of a written off fabia?

2) bigger wheels normally slow a car down, i think? but if the tyres are the right profile it shouldnt make a difference right?

Oh the door pins are £7 from your dealer and tt pedals again about 45 quid?

Nice mate, thank you I will look for my nearest scrappy and have a look next time I'm off work. Will check with my local dealer tomorrow for pins and pedals. I'm glad you like my car also :)

It sounds nice without the middle box, not like some cars I know, they sound really tinny and rattly (if you get what I mean). Maybe I'll make a video showing it off as well as taking some more pictures.

What was the original size and profile of the tyres as standard??

If you have 215/40 or 205/40 then you should be just fine in terms of rolling radius. The new wheels are probably heavier than the old ones though, making the car slower, but not changing the gearing as such.

You can't really change the gearing of the car no, you just need to make sure the new wheels have the same rolling radius as the old ones :)

yeeah my ones the 80bhp 1.4 16v i think its based on the same one as you.

sounds nice when revved, think it would sound really good if i sort an exhaust out for it maybe later down the line:)

also if your lucky enough to find an elegance in the scrappy the door pins will be on them too.

and any tt/cupra/vrs/ etc the pedals would also be availible i recon for half the dealer price:)

I see thanks for the information. I have 205/40/ZR17 so it must just be because the wheels are heavier. Mind you, they were designed for the Octy to sit on so it wouldn't really matter too much if they were slightly heavy because it has the power to compensate.

Listen to mine when it only had the Pipercross induction kit on it, I will try to get a vid of it without the middlebox too.
