Turbo Oil Return slight leak? Octavia VRS

Featured Replies

Hi the return from turbo into sump on my VRS has a slight weep. . .

is there a gasket here does anyone know? and if i replace it do i need new bolts etc?

What year and what engine derivative?

I don't know the type of pipe, but if the pipe is a rubber type one I'd replace it too.

i think its a metal pipe from turbo back down into sump, fairly easy to get to when cars on a ramp as per my service last week, think it'll be a pain to try and do at home though! with car on axle stands so might pay if its only an hours labour.

Gasket at both ends.

If you undo the sump end you lose the engine oil.

yeah i guessed that, i think that end is ok, but i doubt i can change the turbo end without undoign that and losing some.

maybe just wait and do it at next service, its not losing much, just a very small weep.
