Poll: rear windows block

Featured Replies

How many times did you discover rear electrical windows were blocked because you accidentally pressed the disabling button on the button panel on driving door?

I think that a better place might be near the door locking switch.

Is this for real?

I have great fun on my golf when the passengers in the back are playing with the windows. Lock 'em and wind 'em all the way down, wait for the passenger to admit that they broke the window.:cool:

I keep my rear windows 'locked' all the time. I've never accidentally 'unlocked' them.

No way - I'm the driver, it's my car, I make the rules - I don't want the passenger being able to give those in the back access to the windows

Me too, great if you have young children.

:iagree:

SWMBO drove teh car last night and yelled out of the window "Whats this light?"

It was the window lock.

Dangerous moment...

Did you -

A) Explain what it does, and why, it to her, so she now has another control to fiddle with and then later get confused over.

or

B) Tell her not to worry and ignore it, hoping that she doesn't ignore the all important warning light on the dash should it ever light up.

i forgot about this, certainly useful when you got the air con on full whack and mini text decides to open the window grrrrrrrrr.

I pressed it again to switch it off and told her never to touch it again because it ejects the wheels. She believed me for a minute which is a shock because I make up crap like that to her all the time.

The pit-stop button

Never, the rear seats hardly ever get used, so with that, neither do the windows. Therefore it wouldn't matter if i accidentally 'locked' them...

And the switch is fine where it is, better for keeping them locked when you want them to be, ie kids in the back.

Anyway I find that the position of the switch is - at least for me - too prone to accidental pressure (either lock or unlock).

[joking] ...perhaps I should keep the steering wheel with two hands :D...[/joking]
