Has anyone fitted anything wider than 225 tyres on their Octavia? Say 18" wheels with 245/35 tyres? Any problems with rubbing?

I've had 245s on mine, no problem with rubbing...

If you keep the same rolling radius I don't think it makes a difference if it's lowered, but I might be wrong...

I would of thought the width of the tyre would cause problems if lowered too much.

I did manage to get the car sideways a couple of times while they were on the car, though bizarrely it was as a result of oversteer!

245 must be huge ! I thought my 225/40/18 were large. What profile were they 35s ??
