Rear window wont lift

Featured Replies

Just found this little problem out now

my rear window wont close when I hold down the lock button on the key fob, you can hear the regulator clicking in but nothing happens. the odd thing is, turn the ignition on and do it on the switch on the drivers armrest and it comes straight up, try it on the keyfob again and naff all

Cheers,

Dan

Sounds like a defective window reg - as the locking system goes through it as well.

Learned that when my 24hr old Octy failed and smashed the window :(

If it's working through the switches but not through the remote then the mech doesn't appear to be the problem:confused: possibly just a signal glitch??

Maybe just try a hard reset (disconnect the battery for 15mins or so)

That sounds like a keyfob error as opposed to window reg.

Possible that the battery in the keyfob is due for replacement?

yes but all other 3 windows lift fine, I would imagine they receive a common up and down signal?

Exactly, nothing to do with the remote ;)

It'll be the convenience unit in the effected door which is also the regulator. Should be warranty jobbie.

Ah right!

I dont know much about skoda's yet, thought the rear window went down like the freelander does. If thats the 4x4's name.
