other than room inside i'd expect it to be very very similar to an A3 170TDi quattro :)

With less boot space :)

If I had £26k I can easily think of many other car's I'd much rather spend it on :) Good MPG for a car at that price range and performance, but if you're buying one I doubt fuel consumption is much of a concern :D

It's a certainly a concern for company car drivers, you see plenty of 3 Series Coupes with D badges on the back, I think Audi may be after a few of these!

It's nice that we now have an option of a kind of "green" TT.

Can see that appealing to a fair few people - surprised Audi hasn't done this already really...

I'd have one. I'm sure a bit of tweaking could cure the understeer too.

Because ?

The new TT isn't based on the MKV platform like the old one was based on the MKIV.

The new TT is all new chassis and suspension setup. It may be as quick/ or a little quicker than the A3, but handles much better,

But most company reps need some boot space :)

so your saying the new TT has nothing in common with the new A3/octavia/leon etc etc

we'll see :)

Smaller but probably more usable than an A4 due to the hatch:

You can fit plenty of brochures in there! :D

are they not based on the same basic platform, but the modular nature of the platform means that certain...stuff() can more easily be changed to suit certain needs/requirements; to say they're completely different is as wrong as saying they're basically the same?

are they not both on the A5 (PQ35) modular platform?

are they not both on the A5 (PQ35) modular platform?

yeah, but the C-Max is built on the same basic platform as the Volvo C70 and the Ford Kuga...:P The Mazda 3 MPS and Focus ST could be considered pretty similar, but the only thing that goes in the favour of the Mazda is BHP

How can the TT share the same A5 platform when Audi totally redesigned the chassis to distribute the weight more 50:50. The back end is made from different material to the front end !!!!
