We all know that Roomies are pretty rare on the roads, but today, I finally caught sight of one on my local stretch of motorway. Same colour as mine, but a diesel rather than a petrol....

Only problem, I was in a Fabia courtesy car while my Roomster was being cared for by the dealer.:D

Now that really is annoying!

When the Roomster first came out every dealer got basically the same car a Graphite Grey 3TDi with Ivory, the first weekend we had it as a demo I was driving to Guildford on the A281 when another identicle car came the other way, it turned out to be a salesman from another Skoda garage. Was a very bizzare moment...

the first time i ever saw one in the metal

was today when i was on my way to the dealer to buy one

I've seen a few Roomsters around recently. They do seem to be catching on. In fact, I've probably seen more Roomsters than Fabia II estates or hatches. I nearly bought one, but the estate suited me better due to the shape of the boot and the narrower B and C pillars improving visibility.

Ocean blue looks fab - saw one last week near London Colney. I wish that colour had been available for the Fabia when I ordered mine. The estate would look great in that colour.

Shopping at Tesco yestrday and when I returned to my Roomy there was another one in the very next parking bay! the owner appeared and we had a chat. Quite a coincidence as to see another in the same town (Colchester) is rare.

down on Romney Marsh where i am there is at least half a dozen about + i've seen four of the felicia funs about down here

 When we were in Frejus, South of France, having seen only one on the journey down, We parked in the local Supermarket, When we came out there was like a mirror Image packed next to us, Same colour but LHD.

If only i had my camera with me.

The retired Bishop (of St Edmundsbury) who attendes the church I go to in Winchester has one. He loves it, and he says it's great for picking up all the elderly people on a Sunday for church because it is so easy to get in/out of! Quite a Skoda fan club as the Vicar has a mk I Octavia too. When my wife and I go in seperate cars, we have four Skodas in the car park together!

A few weeks ago, mine was one of 3 side-by-side in the same car park - not a Skoda dealer's, either.

There was mine, that of a friend who bought one on my recommendation, and another friend who had one on a 48-hour test from the local dealer.
